Weight Loss Visualization And The Law Of Attraction

The greatest ally you have in your weight loss effort is the power of your own mind.
Creative visualization is a technique to harness the power of your mind to create something that you desire. You use creative visualization every day though you are probably unaware of it. When you day dream, or conjure up pictures of food, people, or anything else you desire, you are using creative visualization.
Visualization is a powerful tool for weight loss. It harnesses the power of the mind/body connection. Before you lose weight or accomplish any major goal, you must be able to see yourself doing it in your mind’s eye.
Visualization can focus your mind, catalyze your emotions, and provide powerful motivation to keep you on track towards your weight loss goals. Visualization can help you manage stressful states and keep you motivated when you are experiencing temptation and cravings.
Researchers have found that the brain cannot tell the difference between something imagined and something real. Top athletes have used visualization successfully for years to reach their goals.
Visualization is also one of the most powerful ways to invoke the law of attraction.
The law of attraction states that you create your reality through the power of your thoughts. Like attracts like. Your mind is like a powerful magnet attracting experiences to you that match the vibration or energetic content of your thoughts.
Creative visualization harnesses the energy of your imagination to manifest what you desire. By visualizing your perfect weight you are sending out a powerful intention into the universe that you are ready to be that weight.
By visualizing yourself as a slimmer person, your subconscious will begin to believe you are this new person. Your subconscious will begin to assist you in achieving your goal. You will then begin to act according to this new vision of yourself.
As you focus on your positive intention of losing weight you will begin to attract experiences that are aligned with your intention. You will feel more motivated to lose weight and to exercise.
Experiences and people will show up in your world to assist you in achieving your goal. You might get a gym membership or meet a work out buddy. You will find more time for exercise. You will find yourself more interested in healthy foods. Your outer reality will begin to conform or align with your inner reality.
Everything in the universe is made of energy. Thoughts are a form of energy. You may have heard the saying, “Thoughts are things.” All thought is creative. When you are overweight your attention is negatively focused. You are obsessed with fat, food, diets, calories, losing weight etc. You are focused on the problem.
The key to using the law of attraction in to stay focused on the solution. Visualization is thinking in pictures. By keeping a mental picture of your desired weight foremost in your mind, your reality will align itself to conform to that picture.
The greatest ally you have in your weight loss effort is the power of your own mind. To ignite the law of attraction you have to use the power of your imagination. If you can imagine it, you can be it.

Visualization is a powerful tool for weight loss. It harnesses the power of the mind/body connection. Before you lose weight, or accomplish any major goal you must be able to see yourself doing it in your mind’s eye.
Visualization is most effective when it fully engages all five senses. When you are visualizing, try to put yourself in the scene as fully as possible. Try to taste, smell, feel, look, and hear the scene you are in. This will make it as real as possible.
Make sure you get yourself relaxed and comfortable before doing your visualizations. Get in a comfortable chair and take several deep breaths before starting. Make sure your phone is turned off and you’re in a place where you won’t be disturbed.
Here are some powerful visualization techniques.
Your Ideal Weight
Before you can achieve your ideal weight you must have a clear vision of what it looks like. The more detailed this vision, the easier it will be to achieve this vision.
When envisioning your ideal weight make sure it reflects reality. This new body of yours shouldn’t be tall and willowy, if you happen to be a short, stocky person. This vision has to be true to your type.
Your ideal weight is the weight that is optimal for the health of your particular body and frame. It isn’t something that should be dictated by the current obsession with thinness.
You will also need to make allowances for age, childbirth, etc. I once knew a woman who always kept a picture of herself in a bikini when she was in her twenties. This woman was now in her 60’s. Now, I’m not implying that a 60 year old woman can’t look good in a bikini; just that there was no way she was ever going to go back to that particular image.
By obsessing on and comparing herself to that particular image, she never felt she looked good enough at her current age, which left her continually dissatisfied with the present progress she was making. Make sure your vision is realistic and achievable!
If you can, find a picture of yourself at a normal weight and put it up where you can look at it several times a day. Every time you look at the picture say to yourself, “My ideal weight is on the way!”
If you have been overweight for a long time, or you’ve been overweight your entire life, you may have a hard time envisioning your ideal weight. You might want to look at pictures in magazines or go to a mall and look at people who are of a normal weight and have a similar build and bone structure as you do. Mentally try on their bodies. When you find one that feels right, use this image. You will use this image on a daily basis in your visualizations.
Your imagination is your greatest tool for weight loss. Weight loss happens naturally when you use the power of your imagination to shape your beliefs and your body. What you imagine can be made real. If you can imagine it, you can be it!
To lose weight with the power of your mind, you need to have a clear vision of what you want to look like. Take the time to develop a clear image of what you will look like at your ideal weight. This weight is what is appropriate for your height, frame and age, not what society deems "acceptable."
Now that you have an image of yourself at your ideal weight, you will want to describe this new you in full detail on a piece of paper. This is the manifesto for your new self! Write out your physical description as completely and clearly as you can. Describe how your body looks, its specific parts, and how it feels. Write this description completely in the present as if it exists now. If you currently weigh 150 lbs. and you want to be 120 lbs., write “I weigh 120 pounds.”
Now describe your ideal self. This is the vision of you operating at the highest expression of your being. This is the self that you have always longed to be. See yourself living the life you were born to live!
Describe your new self in as much detail as possible. Describe your personality, your talents, and your skills. How would you look and act if you fully owned your power and potential? How would you look and act as a fully expressed, powerful being - radiant, confident, abundant, and successful - with a full, happy and balanced life?
What kind of activities would you enjoy? What kind of friends would you have? What kind of career would you have? What kind of car would you drive? Where would you live?
Imagine a life that isn’t hampered by a weight problem, fears, or limitation of any kind. Let go and dream. This life is only limited by the power of your imagination. Let yourself soar above your mundane life to embrace a life of infinite possibility. See yourself living this life! Know in your heart that this life is possible for you.
This is your personal manifesto. This is the vision for your new life! Read this description every day to imprint this new reality into your subconscious.
After reading your manifesto, repeat to yourself, “I align myself with the creative vibration of the universe to make my vision a reality!”
Your Vision Board
Once you have a very clear vision of yourself at your ideal weight you will want to make a vision board of the new self you want to create. This is the time to let really let your imagination go wild. Let yourself dream up a new self and new life for yourself!
A vision board is a collage and visual manifestation of something you want to manifest in your life. It is a potent reminder that what you can imagine, you can be. It sets the stage and your intention for creating a new life for yourself. Remember, life happens from the inside out, not the other way around. Use the power of your imagination to create the life you really want.
Cut out pictures from magazines that depict the life you want for yourself. Paste and glue these pictures on a large piece of paper or poster board. Cut out pictures of clothes, jewelry, hairstyles you will wear at your ideal weight, pictures of people near your perfect weight, (better yet, add a picture of yourself at your ideal weight), pictures of people enjoying the lifestyle you want for yourself, the activities that you would like to do once you reach your ideal weight, pictures that represent the work that you would like to do, vacations you’d like to take, etc. Don’t hold back. Let yourself go for it! Envision a new life for yourself!
Put this vision board somewhere that you can look at it every day. Looking at this every day will imprint your subconscious mind that this is what you want to create for yourself. Your subconscious will see this as a command and will work to bring this vision into reality. If you can imagine it, you can be it!
